We receive some lovely “thank you” emails from our customers, and the latest comes from Ali and Paul MacDonald, who had tasked us with looking after their lovely Jaguar XKR.
Based in Central London, they’ve recently decided to take their pride and joy and explore the south coast at the weekends. And it was this adventurous spirit that was the only reason for removing it from our ultra-secure car storage facility in Northamptonshire, as Ali explained:
“Paul and I were very sorry to drive our car away from Wood Farm yesterday. We loved the chance to have a long chat with Leigh and Tim and his wife, and meet the delightful Archie [the resident SCRCS pooch] before we said our goodbyes.
“Thank you for your wonderful scenic tips and recommendations. We had a delicious lunch at The Plough yesterday before we headed off to West Sussex to the new storage facility (which is not a patch on yours but just easier for us to access from London).”

In 2016 I urgently required storage for my Karmann Ghia and found Silverstone Classic & Race Car Storage Ltd. They were very accommodating and took my car into storage at short notice. It was stored in their original storage area which was very secure and well maintained.
Having had excellent service on the first occasion I returned at the end of 2018 when needing to store the car once more. They now have an enhanced complex with brand new storage units built since my last visit. These are, as you may expect, fantastically clean and secure.
The key reason for returning was the personal service, friendliness and the feeling that your car was being stored with real motoring enthusiasts. I know where to go if storage is needed again in the future.
I found your facility via google search and your website was very useful, however, your response to my questions by email was both friendly and very helpful. The process of booking a place and having my Aston collected by covered transport was very straightforward and all went perfectly to plan. I would definitely use you again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional and personable service.
Westfield arrived earlier and is tucked away in my new garage, your guy handling the delivery was one of the friendliest people I've met in a while, we could have talked about cars for hours.

I found out about SCRACS after searching online for a car storage company to keep my pride and joy covered over winter. I chose to use SCRACS because of the secure location and I will definitely be using SCRACS again in the near future.

I needed somewhere to store my every day motorcycle safely while having some building work done at home. Silverstone Classic and Racecar Storage looked after my Porsche Cayman for 8 months. They were recommended to us by a friend who works in the motorsport industry.
What an excellent recommendation! The facilities are absolutely outstanding. Lovely clean, secure, and well lit buildings, knowledgeable and enthusiastic management team (I could chat to Leigh for hours about cars and his time in the industry) and the best thing of all - a pristine Raleigh Chopper on the mezzanine.

I found you by google search for storage near Silverstone Circuit. Service has been excellent from start to finish. Definitely would use again great peace of mind knowing car is safe while on holiday.
Following a recommendation from a colleague, I recently used SCRACS for the 1st time to keep my pride and joy secure for a period of time. Staff were really friendly, always quick to respond and I felt completely reassured with them residing on site that the car was secure and being looked after in their immaculate, monitored facility. The car will definitely be going back for winter storage.
I looked at a wide range of secure storage options and from this it was clear that SCRACS were offering 'state of the art' facilities for classic and race cars at an affordable price, by people who love cars.
When I got in touch with a last minute request to see if they could help, I was met with an immediate, and welcoming, response - and within 48 hours Leigh and father Tim arrived to collect the car from my house.
This meant that I could go into hospital for an operation then recuperate with family elsewhere, in the knowledge that the car was safe and sound in a controlled environment.
Recovery in my case was quicker than expected so a friend helped by driving me to Silverstone and Leigh very kindly made the car ready for collection early.
So, once again, I was re-united with my silver Twin Turbo Mk IV Supra, now officially a classic after 25 years, looking immaculate and ready to roll.
By way of celebration, we took Leigh's advice and had an excellent impromptu lunch nearby at The Plough - many thanks to all involved in a great day out.

Heather and her colleagues know how to look after a client and a vehicle. They are knowledgeable, ultra-professional, friendly, attentive and looked after our car really well. After three months we got it back exactly as we left it. SCRACS’ facilities are first-rate; they don’t exaggerate when they say dust-free and security is first-rate. We were kept well informed and everything happened exactly as promised. The service is flexible and quite affordable too. The difference between London-on-the-street and in-storage insurance rates covered most of the bill. The next time our car needs looking after SCRACS will undoubtedly get the call.
I found SCRACS by both web search and by recommendation of Keys Motorsport who maintain my vehicle, I believe they also utilise SCRACS to store vehicles for themselves. Upon contact with Leigh I found him very easy to deal with, great Customer Service and very comforting in that they were going to look after my performance car with the greatest of care. Leigh discussed the price per month, collection-delivery options and additional services that they have on offer with no pressure to sign up.
On the day of collection, I received adequate communication both prior to and upon approach again ensuring my confidence was well managed. On the day of collection it was raining quite heavily, however the vehicle is transported in a covered trailer therefore well protected against the elements. Upon return to their facility, my vehicle was placed on a ramp and allowed to dry fully before being placed in storage with photographs sent to me, again ensuring my confidence in their abilities.
The whole process from initial contact to collection, with the final return of my vehicle (7 months) was extremely comforting in the knowledge that my vehicle was being taken care of with such attention. I would have no hesitation in using SCRACS again or recommending them to others. In fact I've already notified the Ferrari Owners Club of the great service on offer. A true testament of "Excellent Customer Service" exceeding my expectation every step of the way.
As for using your services again this winter, I've not decided as yet only due to the fact that the new garage has been kitted out and should be suitable. However if I was to change my mind it would likely be December 1st that I would consider using your services through to end of March.
I found out about Silverstone storage in a Google search looking for secure bike storage. I highly recommend this service. The staff are prompt, courteous, helpful and your pride and joy is cared for better than you'd be able to at home if you don't have a garage. I'd trust them with any vehicle. 5 superstars from me!
